I wrote an article below in Japanese about the news that President Obama supported the building of mosque near Ground Zero.
Obama Slammed, Praised for Backing Ground Zero Mosque
It says that 70 percent of Americans are against the building and Republicans harshly criticized Obama’s statement, saying he is insensitive to 911 victim families.
I can easily assume that Obama, in his political conviction as well as his personal belief, supported the building of mosque. What I don’t understand is, though, Republicans and all the so-called conservatives do not address the fundamental issues behind the building of mosque;
Islam is an evil religion and threat to American fundamental belief.
Any traveler to Israel notices mosques near or on the sites of Christianity and Judaism. A primary one is the Dome of the Rock at the very site where the Temple stood. It’s not an old, ancient story. Several years ago, there were disputes over construction of a mosque near the Church of Annunciation at Nazareth. Their conquest and expansion of Islam is still going on, and it is now taking place in American soil.
Right after 911, I heard Franklin Graham said Islam is an evil religion, but the statement came from a religious minister. I have never heard of politicians who harshly criticized the teaching, theology, and nature of Islam. I believe that a main reason why WTC was attacked, Republicans lost the last presidential election, and America’s losing its power among nations is she abandoned her own principle – Judeo-Christian tradition.
Please read an article written by Mosab Hassan Yousef, a son of one of Hamas founders, who became a believer in our Lord Jesus, and came to America as a political refugee. He blatantly proves equality of Quran with Mein Kampf and Muhammad with Hitler.
An open letter to my Muslim brothers and sisters
Jesus said to His disciples, “if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? (Matt.5:13)” I believe America as a nation in the world has played its important role as a fighter for freedom. Yes, any man has its right to express speech and hold ideas and religion. But what if an idea comes in that the idea would pursue destruction of the human’s unalienable right? That is why America fought against communism. Any immigrant in your country who exiled from communist regimes would tell you what is the nature of communism. President Reagan knew it very well and called Soviet “Evil Empire”.
And ask now any immigrant in your country who escaped from Muslim countries what is the nature of Islam. Who represents their voices right now? Where is a leader who humbly listens to their cry and takes heed to their warning? Who has guts to speak out and fight against Islam among your representatives?
Every time I come back to the States, I am saddened at decadence, apathy, and indifference which I didn’t feel when I lived there in 90s. It is as if you are like a frog in a pot where water is being boiled but still warm, not hot. You are still comfortable with an idea of “religious freedom” but when you wake up, it’s too late. You are already a slave in a cage of oppression.
If you are believer in Jesus, don’t presume that you are comfortably safe in Rapture before it’s too late. I believe many of those who call themselves a Christian are left behind in Rapture. If your country forsakes God, which I think she already did, she is no different than many other countries in the world, where your belief in God and His Son Jesus is itself threat to the country and you may be put into jail for the reason.
Many of our precious brothers and sisters in the world are living a life for Christ under those circumstances. They are beacons of truth that freedom in Christ cannot be taken away by any other power. But you’ve got to be ready and be alert for what is coming and stand for Christ in the hardship.
I gave a promise to Japanese brothers and sisters that I would write the same article as I wrote in Japanese. 🙂
