Dear friends,
Thank you always for your faithful prayer. In the last newsletter, we mentioned Ji Aeon and Mayu would be baptized with water at our house. The event took place on the 12th of Feb.
It must have been a wonderful experience for the two girls, but not only that, the Lord started putting a desire to seek after God into Ji Aeon’s mother’s heart. We talked with mothers of the students about spiritual things before and after the baptism, and we found out that Ji Aeon’s mother had attended church on Sundays for a while when the family moved to Japan but quit going.
But the baptism of her daughter prompted her to look for a church nearby their house so the mother as well as her daughter can go and seek after the truth. Please pray for her spiritual salvation (I think she believes in God but doesn’t put trust in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross personally.) and spiritual growth of Ji Aeon as they start going to church.
We thanked the Lord for His provision of helpers in our ministry to children when and a while after Taeko was hospitalized. Rich in our fellowship at CC Tokorozawa came and helped teaching English and the Bible on three Saturdays. We have five classes on the day and I asked him to teach the Bible in English at two of the five. We even asked him to teach the Bible without any translation because we expected children at 3:00 class to be able to listen to a Bible story if he would teach in a simple manner. I think they enjoyed the time with him.
Taeko is almost fully recovered from surgery, and she even looks much better before the operation. I think it is obviously because the excess amount of bleeding she had previously experienced stopped completely. As she wrote the testimony in the last newsletter, we see the hand of God in all of this.
RRAYER REQUESTS:
- Please pray for spiritual salvation of Ji Aeon’s mother and father. Pray for spiritual growth of Ji Aeon and Mayu as they have decided to follow Jesus as His disciples.
- Please pray for Mayu and her younger sister Miyu about God’s comfort because they don’t have a father to take care of them and their mother works fulltime in order to feed the two daughters.
- Please pray for other children about salvation for some and spiritual growth for others. Especially, older children start going through a trial as some of them make preparation for entrance examination of junior high school. Because they become busier with cramming schools, they don’t have time to study “English” but ultimately things about God.
